THE VOYAGES OF HARMON CRAIG
I very much enjoyed the article about Harmon Craig (“Voyages to the Bottom of the Sea,” by Janny Scott, Jan. 24). It shows the man, warts and all, and yet his essential genius shines through. In a time where many theories are spun from a desk, Craig actually goes and observes the real thing. None of the suggested comparisons hits the mark, I think. Why not Darwin? Congratulations to the journalist. Let’s have more portraits in this vein.
