U.S. Troops in Honduras

Your editorial “It’s Dangerous” (March 17) is odd. The danger is already there. The area is filled with Soviet-backed battle forces, mortal enemies of the United States. Honduras seeks to stay free.
“That pathetic, impoverished region of the world” poses a threat that is growing like cancer in our body.
The President is not the problem. We are in harm’s way. Cancer is the problem; cut it out or die. The problem is there; you offer no solution. The President does.
