A Glendale man charged with stabbing his wife to death pleaded not guilty Tuesday a charge of murder.
Haro Agakian, 38, was arrested at his North Isabel Street apartment last Thursday in the fatal stabbing of Judy Agakian, 37, said Glendale Police Sgt. Dean Durand.
A relative of the Agakians told police of the attack shortly after midnight Wednesday, Durand said. When police arrived, Judy Agakian was dead. Haro Agakian, who also suffered stab wounds, was treated in St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank and taken to the USC County Medical Center jail ward, Durand said.
Investigators said that the couple were having marital problems.
Agakian is being held without bail at Los Angeles County Jail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 4.
