NBC Television has named Michael Silver to replace Middle East correspondent Rick Davis, who was deported from Jordan last week, Jordan’s Petra news agency reported Tuesday. Jordanian authorities expelled Davis for what they called biased reporting. They also withdrew the credentials of NBC assistant producer Samira Kawar, a Palestinian with a Jordanian passport, on similar grounds.
