Spy’s Wife Moved for Medical Testing

WASHINGTON — The jailed wife of convicted spy Jonathan J. Pollard has been moved to Mayo Clinic for tests to determine if her health is deteriorating, officials and family friends said Wednesday.
Anne Henderson-Pollard, who was sentenced last year to five years in prison as an accessory in her husband’s spying for Israel, was flown Monday from Lexington, Ky., to a Rochester, Minn., medical prison facility, a spokeswoman for the Bureau of Prisons said.
Henderson-Pollard, who suffers from a degenerative stomach disease, will undergo tests at the nearby Mayo Clinic, said David Turner, who heads a group called Justice for the Pollards. The group is seeking improved prison conditions for the Pollards and a presidential pardon.
