E. German Police Jail War Crimes Suspect

EAST BERLIN — Police have arrested an East German strongly suspected of being involved in the World War II murder of Jews in Nazi-occupied Poland, East Germany’s Communist Party daily reported on Wednesday.
Neues Deutschland said police detained Jakob Holz on Tuesday and began investigative proceedings into his alleged participation in the crimes in the Polish town of Radom.
The newspaper did not say how or where Holz was caught.
