Mother-daughter duo the Judds were named vocal duo of the year Monday night at the 22nd Annual Music City News Country Awards at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville. But Wynona and Naomi were not present (on the road again, a spokesman said), so Reba McEntire and TV host Ralph Emery accepted the awards for them. Other winners: Randy Travis (four, including entertainer of the year and top male artist), Ricky Van Shelton, of Grit, Va. (the star of tomorrow award), and Ray Stevens, comedian of the year.
