Wallace Son-in-Law Wins Court Nomination

MONTGOMERY, Ala. — The name of former Gov. George C. Wallace resurfaced in state politics today as his son-in-law won a Democratic primary nomination to a seat on the Alabama Supreme Court.
Circuit Judge Mark Kennedy, 36, the husband of Wallace’s daughter Peggy Sue, outpolled Anniston lawyer A.W. Bolt on Tuesday for the Democratic nomination to the court. Wallace’s son, George Jr., is state treasurer.
