Local News in Brief : Irvine : Chamber of Commerce Schedules Dinner Dance

The annual Irvine Chamber of Commerce installation dinner dance is scheduled for 8 p.m. Friday at the Irvine Marriott Hotel.
The chamber’s new board and executive committee members will be announced and installed, a chamber spokesman said. Jim Ellis, of Ellis & Associates Insurance, will be installed as chairman of the board.
The chamber will also announce its Member of the Year and Citizen of the Year awards.
The black-tie-optional event is open to the public at $50 per person. Reservations must be made by June 20. They can be arranged by calling the Chamber of Commerce. A 7 p.m. no-host reception will precede dinner and dancing.
