Lake Placid Gets World Championships for Luge in 1990

The U.S. Luge Assn. has been awarded the right to host the 1990 World Luge Championships by officials of the International Luge Federation at a recent meeting at Lausanne, Switzerland.
The race will be held in February of 1990 on the Olympic luge run at Lake Placid, N.Y. The New York facility hosted its first world championships in 1983.
