More Famous People: Cher, Rod Stewart, Guns N’ Roses, INXS, Jody Watley and the Fat Boys lead the list of artists scheduled to perform on MTV’s 1988 Music Video Awards program set to be broadcast live on MTV from the Universal Amphitheatre on Wed., Sept. 7. The 2 1/2-hour event will be hosted by Arsenio Hall, currently seen in Eddie Murphy’s latest film, “Coming to America.” Presenters include Justine Bateman, Sam Kinison, Cyndi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle and David Coverdale. Elton John will also be performing via satellite.
