In the arts: There is a bit of the old and the new on Orange County’s pop music scene this week. Today, the nostalgia-tinged Dirty Dancing tour, spawned by the movie and sound-track album of the same name, makes a stop at the Pacific Amphitheatre. Featured are such ‘60s acts as the Contours, Eric Carmen, Merry Clayton and the county’s own Bill Medley.
Meanwhile, the Sugarcubes make their local debut Friday at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano. The new band, a hit with critics, is from Iceland--a nation not known for spawning pop stars.
