An Irvine man whose motorcycle spun out of control on a road north of Upland was fatally injured, authorities said Sunday.
The 30-year-old victim, whose name was not released pending family notification, died at the accident site at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.
CHP Officer Monty Keifer said the collision occurred at 9:40 p.m. on southbound Mount Baldy Road--north of Shinn Road in unincorporated Los Angeles County land near Upland.
The victim swerved into northbound lanes of traffic, then struck a block wall, Keifer said.
The impact threw the man from his motorcycle and over an embankment about 150 feet, he said.
