Com Systems Says It Will Buy Las Vegas-Based Phone Company

Com Systems, a Van Nuys company that provides long-distance telephone services to customers in California, Arizona and Nevada, said it has agreed to buy First Digital Network, a long-distance phone company based in Las Vegas. The sale price was not disclosed.
Com Systems, which competes with much larger rivals AT&T;, MCI and Sprint in the long-distance market, has purchased several small long-distance companies in order to build its market share.
Com Systems said its latest purchase will be paid for over three years using cash and notes.
