Faberge Inc. said its Elizabeth Arden unit had an agreement to buy Etienne Aigner Cosmetics GmbH, a West German cosmetics and fragrance company, for an undisclosed amount. Etienne Aigner Cosmetics markets fragrances and cosmetics throughout Western Europe. Faberge, a $1.1-billion New York company that distributes cosmetics, fragrances and fashion apparel in more than 120 countries worldwide, said the purchase will help it further establish its worldwide presence. The deal is expected to be completed by September.
