Utah Governor on ‘Raid’ in Calif.

SALT LAKE CITY — Utah Gov. Norm Bangerter hurried back from the Republican National Convention today to embark on a daylong corporate recruiting trip to California.
The governor, along with Utah Sen. Jake Garn, boarded a jet supplied by industrialist Jon Huntsman to fly to Northern California to meet with executives of Apple Computer Inc, Hewlett-Packard Co. and Signetics Corp. “We hope we can do some good business in California today,” Bangerter said.
