5 Hurt in Party Shoot-Out; N.Y. Police Cite Gang War

NEW YORK — Five people were wounded when gunfire erupted at a crowded birthday party in the Chinatown district of Manhattan, and police said Sunday it was a fight between Chinese-American youth gangs. About 100 teen-agers were jammed into the community center of a housing project when the shooting started Saturday night, police said. No one had been arrested, they said.
