The creator of the bankrupt Sasson jeans empire surrendered in New York and was ordered held without bail for violating an agreement that had freed him while he awaited trial for allegedly threatening the life of a judge. Paul Guez, who gave himself up to federal marshals, had disappeared last week while free on $100,000 bond, then appeared without his lawyers before the judge he is accused of threatening. Lifland, who is overseeing Sasson’s reorganization.
