Sticking It to Tamayo

With a friend like Ruth Reichl who needs enemies (“Tamayo: East of the Border,” Aug. 28)?
If she truly wished to help “Tamayo” (“for almost six months I’ve been trying to find wonderful things to say,”), why didn’t she just say nothing rather than sticking in another knife and twisting it with her review?
Or is it part of her ongoing style that makes every restaurant operator in Los Angeles feel that she is out to get them?
