San Diego Man Dies as Car Hits Utility Pole

A 25-year-old San Diego man was killed early Saturday morning when the car he was driving struck a utility pole just south of Mission Bay.
Police and coroner officials said Mark Kevin Stratton was driving alone in a BMW about 3:30 a.m. when he apparently lost control of the car, spun off the road and struck the pole, at Quivira Road and Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.
