Joint Venture Deal OKd by Dresser, Japanese Firms

Dresser Finance Corp., a Dresser Industries Inc. subsidiary, entered into a joint venture with Komatsu America Corp. and Komatsu America Manufacturing Corp., both subsidiaries of the Japan-based Komatsu Ltd., to engineer, manufacture and market construction and mining equipment.
The joint venture company, Komatsu Dresser Co., will be owned equally by both parent companies, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
