A Delaware court temporarily blocked the Rales brothers from proceeding with their hostile, $2.7-billion bid for Interco Inc., giving the furniture and apparel company a chance to appeal a ruling knocking down its “poison pill.” The Delaware Chancery Court granted a stay of its decision to issue a preliminary injunction blocking the company’s poison pill on grounds that it had been improperly used. St. Louis-based Interco has said it would appeal. Unless the ruling is reversed, the brothers are almost certain to win their 4-month-old battle for Interco.
