Faye Greens of Brentwood shot 169 for 36 holes to win her eighth championship in 12 years in the Penmar Women’s Golf Club tournament. Other flight winners and their gross scores were Betsy Thoren, B, 190; Mary Ishizuka, C, 200, and Myra Lax, D, 196.
Linda Howell of Venice and Jarilyn Joseph of Pacific Palisades won the open women’s doubles title in the Southern California Tennis Assn.’s 102nd sectional championships. Howell and Joseph defeated Linda Higgins of Yorba Linda and Jennifer Slattery of Huntington Beach, 2-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Chris Prato shot a 34 for 9 holes to win the Penmar Men’s Golf Club October tournament. Other flight winners and their gross scores: Ray Fitzpatrick, B, 35; Namon Lovil, C, 37; Herb Cohn, D, 40, and Selwyn Lee, temporary handicaps, 37.
