Skewed Messages in ‘The Accused’

Why is it, when films such as “The Accused” come out, people start screaming about how it puts down men. This very same thing happened when “The Color Purple” came out. Yet when films like “Fatal Attraction” or “Throw Momma From the Train,” come out and people call them anti-women, people jump down their throats.
Allen should be writing commentaries on how we need films like “The Accused.”
The day rape becomes a non-existent crime and people stop blaming female victims for their misfortune, is the day we will stop needing films like “The Accused.”
Then we can start talking about how the media unfairly portrays men.
