As an Irvine homeowner, I would like to express my opposition to the proposed ordinance that would require an inspection by the city of Irvine in order to transfer ownership of a home.
From what I have been able to learn about this proposal, it seems to be just another way of enriching the city’s coffer’s at the expense of the homeowner. We do not need further government bureaucracy, red tape and paper work interfering with the rights of private citizens.
