Bill Dove of Bowie, Md., was elected to a 2-year term as president of the USA Amateur Boxing Federation at its annual meeting in St. Louis.
Dove succeeds Col. Don Hull of Cresskill, N.J., who has served as federation president since 1984.
Michael Carbajal, an Olympic silver medalist from Phoenix, was named the USA-ABF’s 1988 Boxer of the Year.
