Bass Are Biting at Reservoirs

Despite the cold weather, largemouth bass fishing has picked up at many Southland locations. Several largemouth have been caught at Lake Silverwood, a San Bernardino County reservoir known primarily for its striped bass.
Greg Silks of Alta Loma, who normally fishes for stripers, caught a largemouth that weighed 13 3/4 pounds. His brother Rick, fishing in a different location at the lake, caught a 12-pounder.
