White House Will Hear Pitter-Patter of Tiny Spaniel Feet

ISLAMORADA, Fla. — President-elect Bush is expecting a blessed event in the White House--and his dog will get most of the credit.
Speaking to reporters in the Florida Keys as he arrived for a fishing trip, Bush shared a secret about Millie K, his 3-year-old English springer spaniel. “I can announce that our dog is pregnant,” he said. “We expect puppies in the White House.
“So on that family note, I will leave you all and hope that we don’t have to bother each other over the next 48 hours.”
Then he headed off for the Everglades to fish with a group of old friends.
