Local : Man Hit-Run Victim in Santa Ana

An unidentified pedestrian was struck and killed early today by a hit-and-run driver while crossing East Fourth Street in Santa Ana, police said. The victim was described as Latino, 30 to 35 years old and wearing a black cloth jacket, blue jeans and brown wing-tip shoes. Hit by a car about 1:50 a.m. in the 1000 block of East Fourth Street, the man was knocked down and dragged about 100 feet, Police Sgt. Collie Provence said. The driver fled the scene, and police have no description of the car, Provence said.
