Troubles continued for former National Football League running back Chuck Muncie, who was jailed in San Diego after testing positive for drug use while awaiting sentencing on a federal cocaine charge.
Muncie, 35, had been free on $20,000 bond since pleading guilty Dec. 12 to intending to sell 2 ounces of cocaine. His sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 13.
He also faces sentencing Feb. 23 for violating probation terms for not filing a California income tax return for 1983, and may face perjury charges for lying about his drug use.
Muncie played for New Orleans, San Diego and Minnesota during his 10-year pro career.
