Reagan’s $50,000 Fee for Speaking

Two unrelated items in juxtaposition in the Metro section “Appeal Court Ruling Clears Way for Closing Mental Health Clinics” (for lack of funds) and “Reagan’s Fee Per Speech: A Cool $50,000” tell clearly the sad story of present-day morality (Jan. 28). The next time an ex-mental patient goes berserk and commits mayhem, we may want to rethink the priorities in our society.
