A 27-year-old San Diego man was killed Saturday afternoon after he lost control of his car and was thrown from the vehicle, police said.
The driver, whose name was not disclosed by authorities, was driving north in the 5000 block of Fairmount Avenue about noon when he lost control of the vehicle, Sgt. Melvin Maxwell said.
The car crossed into the southbound lanes and then overturned in a drainage ditch, police said. When the vehicle flipped, the driver was thrown out through the car’s sun roof.
