W. Los Angeles : Feinstein to Speak

Former San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein, a possible Democratic candidate for governor, will address the 44th Assembly District Council tonight. Feinstein will appear at the group’s 7:30 p.m. meeting at 10868 W. Pico Blvd. The public may attend.
Patrick D. McGuire, chairman of the 44th Assembly District Committee, has announced that he is exploring the idea of running for the 44th District seat in 1990. McGuire says he will seek the post if Assemblyman Tom Hayden (D-Santa Monica) steps aside to run for state insurance commissioner.
McGuire, 38, a real estate broker, is a veteran activist. He serves on the Los Angeles County Democratic Contral Committee and is a board member of Heal the Bay and the Ballona Lagoon Marine Preserve Inc., two environmental groups.
