A San Diego man and a Los Angeles woman were arrested Saturday night after allegedly spraying gunfire around a Poway neighborhood, authorities said Sunday.
Sheriff’s deputies responded about 7:40 p.m. to reports of shots being fired in the 12000 block of Cobblestone Creek Road, and sealed off the area as the shots continued, said Sgt. Chris Von Olnhausn.
After pinpointing the house from which the shots were emerging, deputies flushed out and arrested Zachary Cowan, 35, the owner of the house, and Linda Young, 38, of Woodland Hills, on suspicion of shooting at inhabited dwellings and negligent discharge of firearms, Von Olnhausn said.
Authorities seized six rifles and shotguns, three handguns and an assault weapon from Cowan’s home, he said.
About 32 rounds had been fired, and some were recovered from the walls and roofs of nearby homes, Von Olnhausn said.
Cowan also was under suspicion of unlawful possession of slot machines, after deputies found and seized nine machines in his home, the spokesman said.
