NEW YORK — Two traditional rivalries--Alabama-Auburn and Army-Navy--are among 16 College Football Assn. games to be shown on CBS this fall.
CBS also said today that it will begin its CFA package on Sept. 16 with one of four games--Illinois-Colorado, Army-Syracuse, Duke-Tennessee or South Carolina-West Virginia. The game to be shown will be determined six days before broadcast time.
The Sept. 23 game featuring Michigan State and Notre Dame will be shown, as will the Nov. 24 game between Arkansas and Texas A&M; and a prime-time meeting between Miami of Florida and Notre Dame on Nov. 25.
The Alabama-Auburn game will take place Dec. 2, with Army facing Navy at East Rutherford, N.J. on Dec. 9.
The rest of the 16-game package will be announced later.
