Angels Win American Legion Tournament

Mike Carter and Tom Wilson each hit home runs as the Fullerton Angels defeated the Fullerton Dodgers, 5-2, Sunday in the championship game of the American Legion District 29 baseball tournament at Glover Stadium.
Carter hit a solo homer in the third inning, his third home run of the tournament. Wilson hit a two-run homer in the eighth.
Steve Trachsel pitched a five-hitter, striking out seven, for the victory. Trachsel won two games and saved another in the tournament. He also had two home runs in the tournament.
Fullerton advances to the Area 5 tournament, which begins Thursday at Upland Memorial Park.
