Two teams of coaches and professional athletes, led by spokesman Pat Riley of the Lakers, will conduct 50 free sports clinics at community parks and recreation centers in Los Angeles and Orange County during August.
The program, sponsored by American Airlines, will provide basketball and soccer clinics for youngsters 8-16.
The basketball clinics will be taught by Jeff Lamp of the Lakers, Karl Malone of the Utah Jazz, Coach Don Casey of the Clippers and Clipper players Gary Grant and Charles Smith.
Soccer hopefuls will get tips from San Diego Socker players Kevin Crow, George Fernandez, Waad Hirmez and Victor Nogueira.
