Sir Peter Scott, 79, a founder of the World Wildlife Fund. An Olympic and America’s Cup yachtsman, decorated commander of destroyers in World War II, and a successful bird artist who sold to England’s royal family, Scott wrote 18 books on natural history and illustrated 20 more. In 1964 he became the first Briton knighted for conservation efforts. In Bristol, England, on Tuesday.
