THE SIDELINES : Bridge Named UCSB Tennis Coach

SANTA BARBARA — Ingrid Bridge, co-head coach of the women’s tennis program at Santa Barbara City College the last two seasons, was named today as head coach of the women’s tennis program at UC Santa Barbara.

Bridge replaces Lisa Beritzhoff, who resigned at the end of last season to do social work.

Bridge was the head coach of girls tennis at Laguna Blanca School in Santa Barbara for two years before taking her job at city college. She was an all-conference tennis player there before attending Chico State, where she graduated in 1982.
