A Skywest Airlines commuter plane collided with a fuel truck at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday night as the plane taxied toward a runway for takeoff, authorities said.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which occurred just after 8 p.m., a Federal Aviation Administration spokesman said. The plane, identified as a twin-engine Metroliner SW-4, carried 10 passengers and its pilot, the spokesman said.
Damage to the plane and the fuel truck was not immediately available. The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the accident, the FAA spokesman said.
Airport officials did not immediately disclose the flight’s destination.
