Bobby Guerrero and teammate Terry Davila each scored a goal to lead Cal State Northridge to a 2-0 win over Cal State Los Angeles in the Matadors’ nonconference men’s soccer opener at Northridge on Friday night.
The win was the 100th for Northridge Coach Marwan Ass’ad.
Guerrero, a freshman from St. Francis High, scored at the 14:20 mark on an assist from Danny Daniels, and Davila scored at 28:13 on an assist from Ed Burns.
Northridge goalkeeper Mike Littman was red-carded for fighting with approximately 14 minutes left and Jeff Blumkin finished out the game in goal, preserving the shutout.
Because of the ejection, Littman will be ineligible to play in tonight’s game against The Master’s.
