First California Funds Transfered: The board of directors of the Resolution Trust Corp. approved the transfer of insured and fully secured deposits of failed thrift First California Savings, Orange, to First American Bank, Rosemead. First California’s two offices were to reopen today as offices of First American Bank, RTC announced. First California Savings, with total assets of $140.8 million, was closed Friday by the Office of Thrift Supervision. RTC was named receiver. The failed savings institution’s deposits totaled $202 million in approximately 11,800 deposit accounts, RTC said.
