John B. Curcio has resigned as chairman of Mack Trucks Inc., effective upon the election of a replacement as soon as Nov. 2. Curcio previously was replaced as chief executive by Ralph E. Reins. The company, based in Allentown, Pa., expects to lose $50 million in the third quarter and about $88 million for the year.
