CINCINNATI — Dallas Green has withdrawn his name from consideration for the job of Cincinnati Reds’ manager in 1990, the Reds announced today.
Green, former manager of the New York Yankees and Philadelphia Phillies and once a Chicago Cubs executive, made his intentions known to Reds General Manager Bob Quinn, team spokesman Jim Ferguson said.
“Dallas Green has notified Bob Quinn that, for personal and business reasons, he has withdrawn his name from consideration,” said Ferguson, the team’s vice president for publicity.
