Keep Rancho P.V. Tees Off Parkland
Our Rancho Palos Verdes City Council has recently instructed its staff to further research an 18-hole golf course on public parkland.
Are we ready for fairways that will overtake and straddle Palos Verdes Drive South? I do object to wire fences and overpasses on this busy traffic route. Also, I would not want to exchange our present City Hall for an upscale caddyshack!
Since golf links are a most desirable attraction for hotel guests, the smaller layout of a management-owned, nine-hole course appears immediately feasible; and only private lands used by this facility could complement the open-space objectives of the city.
