Salinas Reviews His First Year in Office

LA BARCA, Mexico — President Carlos Salinas de Gortari marked one year in office Friday by reviewing his administration’s accomplishments during a trip to western Mexico.
He told reporters in La Barca, 250 miles northwest of Mexico City, that the economy is recovering gradually after seven years of stagnation and that Mexicans in 1990 will see their hard work pay off, the news agency Notimex said.
