$200,000 Per Win Not a Bad Per-Diem

A Dec. 2 photo shows Mark Langston and his wife with broad smiles. Are they smiles of joy and thankfulness, or could it be that they are in reality laughing at the Angels for being such fools for dishing out $16 million to sign him?
If Langston continues to win 16 games a year, as he did in 1989, he would earn $200,000 per win. Not bad for a day’s work.
