A newspaper reported that the NFL fined 14 Phoenix Cardinals players a total of $10,000 for their participation in a brief, bench-clearing fight with the Atlanta Falcons during a game Oct. 22.
The Mesa Tribune said that Cardinal offensive tackle Luis Sharpe was fined $2,000. It said that quarterback Gary Hogeboom and center Kani Kauahi were fined $1,000 each, as was former Phoenix wide receiver Phil McConkey, who was waived on Nov. 28. Ten other Cardinals were fined $500 apiece.
