Bergen Brunswig Corp.: The Orange-based drug, health-care product and videocassette distributor reported record results for the first quarter ended Nov. 30. Net earnings rose 24%, to $14.9 million from $12 million for the first quarter last year. Revenue increased 12%, to $1.1 billion from $967.9 million. Emil P. Martini Jr., chairman and chief executive, said strong sales in the hospital sector was a major factor in the company’s revenue growth.
