Village Christian 61, Moorpark 53--Forward John Brown scored 32 points and had 20 rebounds to lead Village Christian (3-3) to a win at home.
Brentwood 58, L.A. Baptist 38--Alex Pistone scored a game-high 18 points for L. A. Baptist (0-3) at Brentwood.
BEVERLY HILLS TOURNAMENT
Westlake 52, Redondo 51--Matt Weaver made a jump shot with 50 seconds remaining to preserve the Westlake victory in a first-round game at Beverly Hills.
Notre Dame 50, St. Bernard 36--Senior center Paul Hewitt scored a team-high 14 points and added seven rebounds to lead Notre Dame in a first-round game.
CATHEDRAL TOURNAMENT
Harvard 78, Valley Christian 52--Rick Osterloh scored a game-high 18 points for Harvard (7-0) in a championship semifinal game.
HAMILTON TOURAMENT
Taft 81, Roosevelt 51--Senior forward Jason Deyoe made nine of 14 shots from floor, scored a game-high 19 points and added 11 rebounds to lead Taft (5-2) in a first-round game.
CAMPBELL HALL TOURNAMENT
Ribet Academy 85, Oak Hill 42--Mike Smith scored a team-high 24 points for Oak Hill (1-3), but reserve Jacque Moore scored a game-high 27 for Ribet Academy (4-1) in a first-round game.
Whitney 43, Highland Hall 39--Craig Ernst scored a team-high 14 points for Highland Hall in a first-round game.
GIRLS’ NONLEAGUE
Hoover 48, Burbank 28--Guard Juliana Holmstrom scored a game-high 10 points to lead Hoover (5-0) at home.
BREA TOURNAMENT
Alemany 57, West Covina 47--Rachel Correlli scored 19 points off the bench and center Sarah Geziel grabbed 12 rebounds and scored seven points for Alemany (5-2) in a first-round game.
CAMPBELL HALL TOURNAMENT
Campbell Hall 57, Highland Hall 15--Senior center Kyrsten Williams scored 20 points and had 21 rebounds to lead Campbell Hall (4-1) in a first-round game.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
The Master’s 77, Point Loma 76--Reserve forward David Moore made two free throws with seven seconds left at Master’s to give the Mustangs a 77-73 lead en route to their first NAIA District 3 win.
Tom Bruner scored a team-high 17 points, 11 in the second half as Master’s outscored Point Loma, 12-2, in the first 6 1/2 minutes and never relinquished the lead. Moore finished with 10 points for Master’s (7-4, 1-2).
Occidental 90, Christ College 65--Forward John Crawley scored a game-high 25 points and teammate Chris Anderson added 15 to lead host Occidental (3-3) to a nonconference win.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL
Cal State Northridge 81, Point Loma 54--Joan Weinerth scored 18 points, including 16 in the first half, as the Lady Matadors (2-8) snapped an eight-game losing streak in a nonconference game at Northridge.
Weinerth was 10 of 10 from the free-throw line and had five steals in 21 minutes.
